May is Women’s Health Month so I’m excited to share that I’ve teamed up with Walgreens to celebrate by sharing some of my favorite essentials to achieve a healthy life. For me, women’s health is all about taking care of my body inside and out. Any chance I have to feel strong both mentally and physically is a chance to feel my healthiest. My go-to necessities for jump starting healthy habits? A little pampering and upping my nutrients so natch, this means a multi-vitamin and my favorite spa-at-home products. Lucky for me, Walgreens is the one-stop destination for all women’s health needs.
Keep reading for more details on what health means to me and about the steps I’m taking to achieve optimum health.
Pamper Me, Baby
I don’t think there is anything better then a spa day at home. I love to pamper myself, relax and truly take some time for myself. I think there is something exhilarating and refreshing about taking a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday (heck, even a Tuesday) and just chilling out with your favorite beauty and skincare routines. Whether it’s giving yourself a facial, mani-pedi or even just soaking in a warm bubble-bath, we all need those little moments and mental health refreshers.
I found these face masks and eye-brightener serum in the skincare aisle at Walgreens and knew immediately that I wanted to include these in my mini spa-day. First of all, the masks were 3 for $4 so of course I had to get several. After slathering on the Cucumber deep cleansing mask, I applied this Olay eye serum for a fresh and rejuvenated canvas for a fun Saturday night out.
To cap off my little spa-treatment, I just had to give myself a pretty pedi. After years of going to a salon, I finally decided to purchase my own home pedicure kit (better late then never, right?)
Spending my Saturday afternoon with some pampering not only helped me relax and forget about the worries of the week before but that same great feeling also helped me kick-start a week of healthier eating and taking that same me-time to get in a few workouts.
All About the Nutrients!
Okay – does anyone else suffer with getting all of their nutrients? I am probably the world’s pickiest eater, so even when I try to eat healthy and stick to a more balanced diet, I still tend to leave out some of the most important nutrients. My doctor recommended that I try a women’s multi-vitamin to make up for the few that I wasn’t getting. It is so important, as women, to make sure we are getting all of the calcium and iron our bodies need so we can stay strong and healthy so I was kind of excited to add this to my daily routine. Pairing my vitamins with a healthier, balanced diet and a fun mix of cardio and strength training are sure to keep me healthy for decades to come! (also, got a great deal with my Walgreens card!)

Love this post! All girls need a relaxing pamper!
I seriously love Walgreens. It’s right up there with Target! Going in just puts me at ease (as long as I don’t have to pick up a dreaded Rx).
I love spa days! I just started taking a multivitamin myself, I think it is needed even with a healthy diet.
I love how affordable Walgreens is.
Women’s health is definitely the same for me – beauty outside, healthy inside. I have been having a hard time finding balance in my workout routine since getting a concussion back in March. I really need to get back to it because I’ve noticed a definite decline in my morale. I love that Walgreens is a one stop shop for everything I need for my health, because who’s got time to make multiple stops? Not I, said the busy mom of three and one furbaby. #client
