Vacation Prep with Trunk Club

This might come as a surprise since my career focuses on fashion but, ya’ll, I despise shopping. Every now and then I’ll do a little shopping online but it’s usually every few months and I end up returning have of my purchases. I also am in that interesting place in my life where I’m not rich enough to drop into a luxury department store and have a personal shopper do all of the dirty work (one day). I am however pretty excited to share a service that does just that and all you have to do is sit on your couch. Ladies, meet Trunk Club. I wrote about my first experience with the styling service last year and couldn’t wait to work with a stylist to pick out some pieces for my upcoming travels.

If you’re not familiar with Trunk Club, here’s what you need to know:

What is it:

Trunk Club is a personal styling service for men and women, perfect for those short on time, looking for guidance from a stylist, or for those who are looking to try a smarter way of shopping for clothes and gifts. (um, isn’t this EVERYONE???)

Trunk Club differentiates itself through its unique model that combines technology with the personal touch of a stylist. The provide a balance of virtual and personalized experiences that are seriously pretty amazing.

Another thing to note, Trunk Club is not a subscription service.  There are no subscription fees, and shipping is always free.  You can choose when you want to get your trunks – monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or on a specific date.

How it works:
  1. Create your style profile
  2. Connect with your stylist over the phone or through the app to share your sizes, favorite trends, what you’re shopping for and more. I worked with Heidi and she was SO amazing
  3. Review your trunk and take some time to edit, ask for different items, etc. This is my favorite part. Instead of them jst sending random items, you have a chance to preview what they’re sending so you can tweak and help create the perfect trunk for you.
  4. Try on #allthethings. You have 5 days to hang out with your trunk and decide what you want to keep. A $25 styling fee is credited towards the items you keep and then you send back the items you don’t want.
  5. Schedule your next trunk for whenever YOU want.
  6. Done. Easy. It’s worth it.

Why I love it:

I worked with Trunk Club and my stylist Heidi to curate a Vacation themed trunk filled with goodies to take on a tropical getaway. I told her about my love for neutrals (with a pop of color) and she delivered. I honestly was in love with every single piece which is pretty impossible for me. I’m super picky when it comes to clothing and swimwear. But she nailed it.

Great post! I’ve noticed a lot of styling companies and boxed outfits becoming a huge trend recently. I think it’s really cool, and I’m with you about shopping. I would much rather do anything else like shop at a bookstore and eat food lol!

Every single piece looks great on you!! I love the green swimming suit and sarong. And everything else as well. I also love that you created a video showing us your trunk and how each look on you in under 2 minutes. Great job.
