It’s been a while since I had a good old-fashioned getaway and I could not have asked for a better experience than our weekend at the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel. A few of my girlfriends and I decided to venture to Miami for a few days to “mentally prepare” for my upcoming bachelorette weekend – yes, we’re making a pre-bachelorette a thing – and called the Kimpton home. It did NOT disappoint.

No. 1 Bachelorette Ready!
For all of my brides to be out there, scrap your plans and make Miami a priority! The Kimpton Surfcomber literally had everything we needed and more. Not only is the hotel a perfect backdrop for all of your bach party shenanigans but they know how to treat a group of ladies. Definitely look into booking a cabana – complete with a complimentary bottle of champagne, pool + beach chairs, and pretty much everything you need to celebrate. After spending the day by the pool, you can take advantage of their spa offerings and grab drinks at The Social Club. Although we weren’t on official bachelorette business, this weekend was the perfect to get us in the spirit!

No. 2 The Social Club
If you are looking for an amazing dinner (or really any meal), look no further than the restaurant in the hotel lobby. We ate at The Social Club every single day. We had breakfast, brunch, snacks, happy hour, and dinner – and I would go back every single day again and again. Yes, it was that good. The assortment of empanadas, the bread board, the charcuterie, the rosé – so many good options. With an outdoor patio perfect for people watching to truly inspired dishes for every palette, there’s something for everyone.

No. 3 DAYLIFE
When it comes to traveling, I typically like to practice a little bit of balance. I love to treat myself and enjoy my time wherever I’m going. That means rest days, enjoying lots of yummy cocktails, trying new foods (and always pasta). That also means moving my body when I want to and keeping certain parts of my wellness routine. The Surfcomebr has a DAYLFE program complete with beachside yoga, workout classes, a great gym, dedicated social hours (because balance should always include happy hour at the bar) and more.
BONUS: the hotel was recently renovated and I cannot stress this enough, it is GORGEOUS. I love the retro, old school vibe of the exterior (still goes with the other hotels along Collins) but when it comes to the interior, the decor is out of this world. It’s beachy boho meets modern & chic. Lots of greenery, cool textures, metallics, florals and a ton of insta worthy hot spots. The rooms are clean & cozy with fun details and the bathrooms are new-world modern with glass countertops and smart design.
