Ya girl is cleaning up her life. And I love that for me. Last week, I shared that I completely overhauled my skincare & makeup routine since being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. One of my goals with my diagnosis last year was to clean up all of the products that I use on a daily basis (toxic products are a no-go when you have an autoimmune disease). I did a pretty good job cleaning up my makeup & skincare but when it comes to everything else in our home, truth be told, I sorta failed. Until now.
The Best Non-Toxic Cleaning Products
I started trying out some new non-toxic cleaning products a few weeks ago and the results are in: I’m a fan. To be honest, one of the main reasons I was so hesitant about taking the plunge and giving our household products an overhaul was because I simply didn’t believe the hype. Did the ingredients in my laundry detergent really impact me that much? Does is truly matter what’s in our window cleaner? The short answer is obviously yes. I won’t get into all of the science but just like what you put into your body matters, what you put on and around your body also matters – and that includes the products you use on the surfaces, dishes and clothes you use and interact with everyday.
There are a lot of “trendy” non-toxic cleaning brands out there and while some are great, some are a tad bit overpriced and just not worth the hype. So, I did a little research and put a few products to the test and found the best non-toxic cleaning products out there. Let’s dive in.
My Favorite Non-Toxic All Purpose Cleaner & Dish Soap
These are probably the first two products I knew I needed to start with. And let me tell ya, these are some good ones. This non-toxic all purpose cleaner has done some serious wonders on our countertops and other hard surfaces. Don’t even get me started on the mirrors in our house that just always seem to be dusty – and now that we have Tux, it’s safe to say this one is a must-have. I’m also seriously in love with this non-toxic dish soap. I’m not great at loading the dishwasher – just ask Brandon – but with this stuff, it makes it a lot easier to clean the dishes before I load the dishwasher to clean the dishes I just don’t understand this approach but whatever).

My Favorite Non-Toxic Cleaning Wipes
When it comes to cleaning up with ease, I believe every household needs a good set of non-toxic cleaning wipes. I’ve heard a lot of good things about microfiber towels and even use them for my hair so when I found these to pair with cleaning products, I was sold. And they are awesome. Don’t even get me started on these non-toxic cleaning wipes. They’re vinegar based so the smell takes a little getting used to (it’s not horrible – but it’s an acquired…smell) but you guys, they are going to be a huge game changer.
