Symphony of the Seas Travel Diary

Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to experience Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Symphony of the Seas. I’m not going to lie, I was hesitant. I’ve been on two cruises previously and couldn’t really remember much other than that they were a little cheesy. And while there’s nothing wrong with a little cheesy flair, that wasn’t the vibe I wanted for a girl’s getaway. I’m happy to announce that Symphony of the Seas well exceeded my expectations, and more.

While our trip was brief, I left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated while also feeling totally “full” with new memories and friendships. It was pretty much the perfect vacay. Catch a quick video diary from our two days abroad Symphony of the Seas below along a few things that made my highlights!

WHAT I LOVED MOST ABOUT SYMPHONY OF THE SEAS

  1. Adults only rocks. My favorite part of the ship was hands down the Solarium. This adults-only deck was everything we could have wanted. Aesthetic AF, jacuzzis, amazing bar service and the best views on the ship. With two lookout points, this is literally where we spent most of our time. Not only because we wanted some IG worthy pics but it was so much more peaceful on this side of the ship.
  2. You can still be healthy. I am going to use the term healthy pretty loosely here because I was not on top of my diet and workouts on this trip. BUT, I did get in a good sweat at an abs and spin class and I’m pretty proud of myself. In addition to a full gym and tons of classes for every fitness level, there were also a lot of great healthier food options like a delish smoothie + juice bar, oatmeal and fresh fruit at breakfast and lots and lots of meal options for lunch and dinner. I’m all about balance, especially on vacation, so if you’re looking to stay on track of your goals while aboard, you’ll be totally fine.
  3. Infinite possibilities. I thought this was something that would overwhelm me but the fact that there is literally something for everyone to do, eat, experience – well that was probably my favorite part of our experience. If you’re looking for adventure, they’ve got you covered with an epic slide, zip lining, surfing, an escape room and more. If you want to relax, the spa offers everything from a mani/pedi to a massage to waxing. Craving nightlife? There were too many bars too count with a little something for everyone: jazz, latin, top hits, etc.  I could go on and on but take my word for it, no matter what you’re hoping to get out of your vacation, they’ve got it.
  4. Cruises might be the best travel option. You know by now that I have a new found passion for travel. The past two years have been filled with some pretty amazing trips and while I’ll never get tired of flying somewhere new and spending a few days in new cities, there’s something to be said about going the cruise route. Not only is the whole traveling process so much easier with a cruise (you hop on, hop off and all of your food, lodging, drinks, activities are covered) but you still have the opportunity to experience all of the destinations on your wish list. We loved getting off the ship for a few hours to explore Nassau but it felt so good knowing we would be able to return to the ship and everything was already planned and right there for us to enjoy. Takes a lot of the stress and planning out of vacations. Sarah and I are already planning our next trip with Royal Caribbean and I can’t wait to sail away on another adventure for a few weeks!
