Styling a Camel Sweater for a Fall Morning

In case ya missed it, I shared a behind the scenes peek + travel diary for our Asheville trip yesterday. (check out the travel vlog here) This cozy look was by far my favorite from the trip. Asheville was definitely giving us all the fall vibes so I couldn’t wait to wear my new cozy camel sweater for the cooler temps.

I scooped up this fall staple from ASOS (surprise surprise) and can’t stop wearing it! I LOVE the color and the oversized sleeves. Honestly It’s just so perfect. Paired with ripped jeans and my furry, feathered slides that I just can’t get enough of, this was the perfect look for a morning coffee date/photo shoot with Jessica and our new Asheville bestie Alina (seriously – we LOVE her). I couldn’t believe how cool it was so having a thicker sweater was a must.

Now – as much as I love this sweater, I tend to have this weird hate towards the fall/winter staple. It’s a very strange thing y’all but it’s real. I have never LOVED the way sweaters look on me. I feel like it’s so hard to find one that balances out with my super short ‘do that also looks flattering. Sweaters are either too thin, too bulky, too short (I like a cover-the-crotch length), too “trendy”…the list goes on. Does anyone else struggle with this aversion to sweaters? Silver lining is that the good ones do exists and when I find one I like (just like the one in today’s post!), I buy it in as many colors as possible and sometimes 2 of the same sweater. Sorry not sorry. Who’s with me?!?!
