A few weeks ago, I hosted a small Memorial Day brunch to gather some friends to celebrate what the holiday is all about – honoring and saluting our Military heroes. Before moving to Atlanta to work at BGCA, I was at a PR firm and lucky enough to work on the military accounts. I learned so much about the culture of not only members of the military but also about their families, their education and employment situations and sooo much more. And let me tell you, they are heroes in more ways than one. While I personally don’t have any immediate familial ties to the military (outside of friends), I definitely jumped at the chance to celebrate all of our heroes with a coffee brunch – natch.
In honor of our military heroes, Nestle Coffee-mate is partnering with Operation Homefront. Coffee-mate’s contribution helps Operation Homefront provide a wide range of support for military families. They’ve even decorated their French Vanilla & Hazelnut liquid creamer bottles and their Original powder creamer in patriotic stars and stripes. What better way to salute and celebrate than by sharing a ‘coffee moments’ with some of my friends that have a strong military connection.
Megan & Johnnalyn, two of the guests that were able to make it out (also some of my favorite blogger babes) have more of a personal connection to the military. Whether it’s a friend or cousin, they both realize and appreciate the need for saluting our military heroes and celebrating them at any chance we can. And it didn’t hurt that we got to celebrate with some delicious Nestle Coffee-mate creamers.
The limited edition, decorated bottles will only be available at Walmart from Memorial Day through Independence Day while supplies last – so get yours before they run out!
