Today’s post is a little different but I’m excited to share a piece of non-glam, real life with you guys! I have serious anxiety when it comes to taking care of my car. I always joke with my dad that we skipped these lessons when I was growing up (along with taxes, setting a budget…ya know, regular #adulting). Although I have one of those caution lights that come on, I never EVER know what needs to be fixed or checked. The day I found out I had to get regular oil changes I almost had a meltdown – who knew!?
I like to think I take pretty good care of my car (emphasis on the pretty). I use my car for everything form driving to and from the office, heading out to meet #FashionablyBae for date night, grabbing coffee with the girls, trekking out to a blogger event and sometimes the occasional road trip. I use it a lot and actually shy away from the MARTA (I do love some uber though). I try to make a little checklist of when things need to get done – when my tires need rotating, reminders to get gas every week so I don’t run out (it’s happened more than 3 times), getting a good wash, etc. The things that brings me the most grief – seriously, it’s oi changes. I hate running out during my lunch and waisting over an hour for a 10 minute process. I HATE shelving out almost $50. I hate the dirty shoe prints. It’s just not my favorite thing at. all.
