There are so many things I love about summer weather but the greatest of all might just be pool days. Now that we live in a neighborhood with a pool and that pool is open, I’ve been going as many days as humanly possible. I’m only two weeks in and while most of my visits are less than an hour (I mean, it’s not like I’m on vacation), I gotta say I’m loving my new glow. But let’s be real a good pool day isn’t just about getting your tan on (in a safe way of course). If you’re going to have a good time at the pool you have to come prepared.

THE PERFECT HAT
I love a good hat especially on days when the sun is out of control and I just want to read a good book. I’m also V into the visor trend lately…do we like?
THE PERFECT TOTE
Of course every girl needs a good tote bag. I’ll always love the straw totes and when it comes with a kitchy design, that’s even better.
THE PERFECT FLOPS
I really really love flip flops. I have a few pairs that I keep in heavy rotation all summer long including a pair dedicated for pool days. They’re easy to slide into and you don’t mind as much if they get wet.
THE PERFECT SKINCARE
From the best chapstick to the sunscreen I swear by and the spray I love for a bronze glow, these are the skincare essentials I keep in my pool bag at all times.
