I’m back from Paris and officially suffering from the world’s worst travel hangover. As much as I loved getting to explore Mexico City and Paris (my first trip to Europe!) over the past two weeks, y’all I am exhausted. And totally behind on work. And also SERIOUSLY missing margaritas and croissants. I think the only thing keeping my happy right about now (other than getting to see #FashionablyBae whenever I want ha) is looking back at some of my favorite looks from the past few weeks.
This pink pleated maxi skirt was seriously the perfect piece to wear our excursion to Luis Barragan’s Cuadra San Cristobal. More on the look and how I was inspired by this gorgeous architecture below!
One of the things we were most excited to experience in Mexico City was Cuadra San Cristobal. This was one of Luis Barragan’s homes (he’s a famous architect from Mexico City back in the day with an awesome eye for design) and 100% on the top of our list. I mean, does it get any better than minimal white, pink and purple walls? Oh and did I mention the cactus garden, horses and reflecting pool. Just so much beauty everywhere we turned.
When looking for the perfect outfit to wear to explore the grounds, I felt so inspired by the girly hues throughout the property. I couldn’t wait to wear this pink pleated maxi skirt to twirl around in. I mean, it’s pretty freaking perfect. (um hi and under $30) I picked up this ‘Margaritas for the Senoritas’ tee from South Moon Under and thought it would be perfect with the pink pleats. I wanted something bold (in a girly way), comfy (softest tee shirt in the world) and flowy for a super hot day in CDMX. This look did the trick.
