We’ve been back from Morocco for a few days now and although it’s taken me a while to ease back into my work routine, you better believe I jumped straight into self-care. I couldn’t wait to get home to some of my favorite products so I could have a mini spa day and start to feel like myself again.
One of the things I really missed while I was gone was my arsenal of hair care products. Because we packed a carry on only, I had to resort to the small travel sized conditioners to style my hair during the trip. While it got the job done, I definitely noticed a difference in how my hair felt and behaved. The moment I got home, I shampooed about three times and then tried the new Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots to give my dry and frizzy curls a much-needed boost of moisture – you guys, I’m obsessed.

The Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots hit shelves in the U.S. in January 2019 so it’s a super new product which is exciting. Ideal for color-treated hair (me!!!) and heat-styled hair of all types, this new product aims to rescue damaged hair and ensure more great hair days in between professional salon treatments. I got my hair touched up before we left and I probably won’t be going back for another few weeks so I love having a treatment I can do at home.
The single dose-tube contains a blend of Pro-Vitamin B5, strengthening lipids and natural glycerin that targets the damaged areas to give hair the flexibility and resilience it needs to endure styling and environmental stresses. Unlike other hair masks and treatments, Pantene’s Intense Rescue Shots provides deep-conditioning but rinses quickly to avoid weighed-down hair. This is something I really love. I have short curly hair so certain products tend to weigh my hair down.
How to use:
- Start with your favorite Pantene Shampoo
- After you rinse and while you’re still in the shower, apply generously to fully saturate the hair from root to tip (side note: I am a huge fan of a quick wash n’ go i.e. washing my hair in the sink especially if I’m doing a treatment while hanging out at home in between conference calls)
- Leave in for 30 seconds and then rinse for 30 seconds (make sure you don’t over rinse)
- Use weekly instead of your normal conditioner!
