Brandon and I have officially been in our house for a little over two years now. Time freaking flies. One of the first rooms we finished in the new house was our master bedroom. It is by far the room we spend the most time in so I couldn’t wait to get it decorated so we could start to live in our oasis. And, an oasis it has been. However, like most things, I get bored really quick and have this urge every few months to switch things up. New throw pillows or swapping the mirror placement usually keep me happy but with a new focus on our overall health & wellness, I wanted to give the area we sleep in a much-needed update.

Spoiler. How you sleep actually has a lot to do with your wellbeing. Restful sleep comes with a ton of benefits including increased productivity and a good night’s rest can even support your fitness or weight loss goals. Don’t even get me started on just how much your body just needs to chill out. Aiming for 7-8 hours every night is KEY. Aside from my no-screens-after-9pm rule and turning the main lights off at 9:30, one of the other ways we’ve been working on getting a better night’s rest is by creating the ultimate cozy oasis.

I’ve always had a white or ivory comforter situation. Love a blank canvas. But, when I saw the Washed Black collection of bedding, I knew I had to have it. I am thinking about getting the Dark Clay set as a fun backup when I want to add a little color next time.
