How to Perfect ‘Office Style’

If you’re new to Fashionably Lo, you might not know that in addition to the blog and Adorn I also work a 9-5 in marketing here in Atlanta. As much as I’d love to work from home in comfy sweats and a tee, I’m usually heading into the office at 8:30 with coffee in hand and a major to do list. The best part? Getting to dress up and get my #girlboss on. I’ve always loved dressing for professional settings – whether it’s a cute suit, sheath dress or pencil skirt situation…you can have so much fun with office style!

This split pencil skirt is surprisingly comfy. It comes in a super stretch, cotton material that actually feels like thicker legging material. Um, hello. It’s perfect. Paired with a tucked in striped blouse and neutral accessories, this look can easily take you from that 3pm meeting to drinks with bae.

Whenever I’m  picking out my outfit for the day, I typically try to pick pieces that are comfortable, chic and won’t get too wrinkled from sitting at a desk all day. I also tend to buy pieces that can be worn with several different looks. That’s key. As much as I love a good hot pink wiggle dress, I love getting the most out of my separates when I can.
