My Favorite Wellness Supplements

Here’s the deal. I feel like I need to preface today’s post with this: supplements are not required nor are they necessary for a healthy, balanced life. You can make progress towards your goals, feel healthy and live well without supplementing your diet or workouts. For those in the back – you do not need supplements to do/feel/be [INSERT GOAL HERE].

So, why do I promote supplements and why did I dedicate an entire post to my favorites? While I do not rely on any one supplement or combination of supplements to help me live my healthiest life, I have personally found benefits in supplementing and adding to my nutrition, workouts and wellness routine. I don’t believe in a quick fix or any short cuts when it comes to health. And neither should you. However, if adding in a greens powder or starting your workout with a natural boost of energy supports the other things you’re doing on a daily basis, then I’m here for it.

My Favorite Supplements

Now – to the fun stuff and the main reason you’re here. When it comes to my daily wellness routine, there are a handful of supplements, both a combination of vitamins and powders, that I use to naturally boost my efforts with food & movement. I go days without them and sometimes I’ll even rotate through different brands but, at the end of the day, the supplements I’ve included below are ones I’ve tried grown to love the most.

Vital Protein Collagen Peptides

Why I love it: I love collagen. I know it still might be a trending buzzword in health but I personally use it daily. I struggle getting in my protein so this added boost of collagen is protein is a daily staple. I love mixing it into my coffee, smoothies, pasta sauces, and more. With 20 grams of collagen and 18g of protein per serving, this supplement has one simple ingredient: 100% pure collagen. It’s gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, Whole30 Approved, and paleo-friendly. The fact that it’s clean, tasteless, and dissolves & absorbs quickly is much loved bonus.

1stPhorm Opti-Greens

Why I love it: First things first – this is not a replacement for your veggies. You still need to eat the recommended amount of vegetable and fruits each day. However, this greens powder is a great superhero supplement. Did you know that approximately 80% of your immune system is located in your gut? Opti-Greens 50 is an immune-boosting greens powder packed with 50 hand-chosen, gluten-free, alkalizing ingredients to help build a strong immune system and stay healthy. I’ve personally found that it really helps to decrease bloat and just give me that good feeling at the end of the day. Pro tip – add fresh squeezed lemon tocut the taste. And chugit down if you don’t love the taste!

Ora Organic Pre-Workout

Why I love it: A pre workout is certainly not needed to get in a good workout but I love the natural energy boost this powder gives me before an intense workout. Powered by beets and natural ingredients, the Ora Organic pre-workout is free of the jittery, itchy-causing ingredients (if you know you know).

Align Probiotic

Why I love it: You guys know I love a good probiotic. Your gut health is SO important and a good probiotic is one of the best ways to support that cute little digestive system of yours. I’ve tried several probiotics over the years and this one from Align is hands down my favorite.

Ora Organic Vegan Protein

Why I love it: I’ve been trying to cut back my dairy intake lately and have. loved using the chocolate and chair vegan proteins from Ora Organic. Super clean ingredients without the super chalky taste – what’s not to love. I personally find that this stuff tastes best when mixed into a smoothie versus adding to coffee or just water/almond milk. But the flavors are soooo good y’all.

1stPhorm Natural Whey Protein

Why I love it: If a whey protein is more your speed, you’ve got to try the Phormula-1 Natural whey protein from 1st Phorm. This is my go-to for whey because it uses stevia as the sweetener and the ingredients are pretty great. It’s not too sweet and mixes well with everything from water + almond milk for a protein shake to a delicious smoothie with lots of fruits and veggies. I also love adding the vanilla one to my coffee!
