If you’ve been on my Insta lately, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been spending more and more time at the gym. Because I have almost no discipline when it comes to working out, I love taking classes like spinning or barre. However, sometimes I just can’t make it fit with my schedule or I wake up a little too late and miss out (you know how that goes). When I’m left to my own devices I typically do some cardio mixed in with a few easy ab and legs exercises. Check out some of my favorite (and super easy) toning moves below!
Now that we’re getting cooler weather, I love taking my workouts outdoors. Lucky for me, Lululemon has a ton of season appropriate options. This vest and long sleeve tee are perfect for those chillier days. Who knew layering could be so chic and sporty!
Move 1: Lunge Kicks
Start with right leg slightly behind you and left foot extended. Do a standard lunge making sure your knee is right over your ankle. Once you lunge and then start your way back up, shift your weight to your left leg and kick your right foot out. Do 10 reps on each side and repeat 2x.
Move 2: Curtsy Lunge + Ab Twist
Cross right leg behind left and bend like you are taking a curtsy (similar to lunge motion). Once bent, twist your torso to the left engaging your tummy muscles and punch with your right arm across your body. Do a total of 12 on each side and repeat twice.
I also do a few good stretches before and after these to make sure I don’t get too sore!
You should also know that I am definitely not an expert and still have a long way to go but I thought I’d go ahead and share just in case any of you need some extra encouragement. We can do it together, right?!
