When it comes to coffee and sweets…well that’s my thing. Mix the two together and you’ve got my dream sitch. I picked up some of International Delight® Half Gallon Creamers from Walmart and couldn’t wait to whip up a few yummy treats over the weekend.
First up, I went for something more traditional with the International Delight® French Vanilla. Add a little of this to your favorite cold brew or iced coffee and top it with whipped cream for a delicious take on a DIY iced latte. Talk about the perfect way to start your morning cup of joe. What I really love about this half gallon size (other than the sweet + rich vanilla taste) is how easy it is to pour. You know what I’m talking about – I am a super messy eater and literally spill every time I cook or prepare anything. The grip on this creamer is perfect for all of the klutzes out there which is key to starting out with a stress + mess free morning.
Wanna take your creamer to the next level and step outside of your standard coffee rut? Add a little of this International Delight Caramel Macchiato flavor to a homemade icing and top off your favorite cookie. Brandon loved this sweet treat with the hint of rich caramel flavor in the icing. Check out the full recipe below!
Ingredients:
I used easy bake sugar cookies but you could easily whip up your favorite batch homemade.
For the Icing:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
Pinch of salt
2 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons International Delight Caramel Macchiato Creamer
1 teaspoon vanilla
For garnish:
Caramel candles crushed into small pieces.
Steps:
- Bake cookies per package or recipe instructions. Let cool on a wire rack while you prepare the icing.
- Beat butter until creamy with a stand mixer.
- Mix in salt. Slowly add in powdered sugar until mixture is crumbly (slightly smooth)
- Add vanilla and 1 tablespoon creamer.
- Mix until the frosting comes together and becomes smooth, adding additional tablespoons of creamer as needed for consistency.
- Spread a layer of the icing on each cookie.
- Top with crushed caramel candy.
- Enjoy with a cup of coffee (iced latte above is a great pairing!)
Yum! I love the caramel candy topping on the cookies. These look so amazing, might just need to whip up a batch tonight. #client
Sounds delish must make
I’ve been using flavored coffee creamer in frosting for years. It also works well to make truffles and ganache. If you’re tired of plain old oatmeal substitute about 1/4 to 1/3 of the milk with a flavored creamer. Add some fresh or dried fruit and maybe some chopped nuts and it’s not boring old oatmeal anymore. Making frozen fruit smoothies using milk, flavored creamer, and frozen fruit is another great use. There are so many things to do with flavored creamer! 🙂
Use flavored creamer, especially the Pumpkin spice, to make pancake batter.
Uae any flavor creamer to make french toast with add it to your eggs mix dip Bread and fry serve with. Syrup or whipped cream ..
