It’s been four months since I left my job in Corporate America and decided to take on a full-time, working from home gig to focus on my blog and other passion projects. It’s been quite the ride but a really good and inspiring one.
When I had the opportunity to team up with LIFEWTR (available at 7-Eleven) to share how I’m finding new inspiration and igniting creativity in my day-to-day life, I literally jumped at the chance. I run my blog/brand/business, am the co-founder of a digital marketing agency, work 2-3 contracting jobs at a time…oh, and have a personal life. It’s safe to say I am always striving for new inspiration to keep me excited and passionate about the things I’m working on at any given time.
LIFEWTR’s mission is simple: to advance and showcase the sources of creation and creativity. I love it. I feel like I’m always going after the next great thing to take my brand up a notch. I’m always chasing that idea of “more.” I mean, I think every girl boss out there goes through that lack of inspiration and motivation, which is why I was so pumped to pick up a few bottles of LIFEWTR at 7-Eleven (find it in the refrigerated aisle or on a display stand) and get to work on a more inspired + creative business plan for the next few months.
Before I share some of the boss-essentials I carried with me to my planning sesh, let me break down just how good LIFEWTR is for the working ladies out there.
Did you know every single drop of LIFEWTR is purified and pH balanced, with electrolytes for taste? So, um, yeah it’s delicious. Besides the fact this it is refreshing and totally quenches my curiosity, I love how the brand is all about enabling self-expression (the packaging is awesome).
Essentials for the Inspired + Creative Boss Babe
- LIFEWTR: Well, of course. Aside from the fact that I work much better when I feel hydrated, I can’t help but get inspired by the super fun packaging of LIFEWTR. It’s also the perfect reminder to keep striving for creativity, push the limits and always go after the things that inspire me the most.
- Camera: I always have a camera on me. Whether it’s a big boy DSLR, a digital camera, my phone or a fun instant camera, I love being able to snap photos of the things that inspire me on a day-to-day basis. I am traveling a lot this month, so you better believe I’ll be taking #allthepictures to capture those epic moments.
- Day Planner: As much as my creative brain loves to be spontaneous, my boss mentality loves to be organized. I plan my days, weeks and months out like a serious mad woman but can’t help it. I keep all of my to-do lists in one place to keep my thoughts organized and love jotting down the things I find inspirational or motivating throughout the day.
- Laptop: Another obvious choice. I’m always working. Whether I’m writing social posts for the week, drafting up a blog post, working on a presentation for a client or sourcing out new research for an upcoming project, I need this bad boy at all times. I also love having my favorite music playlists and photos all in one place that I can access whenever I need a little extra inspiration.
