How to Be Parisian

Okay so the title of this post is 100% meant to be cheeky and in no way meant to be a resource for ladies looking to live a Parisian inspired lifestyle.I just couldn’t resist though. I mean, we all bought the book. Believe it or not, I still have a major travel hangover from Paris and seriously miss EVERYthing about the city of lights. But if I’m being honest, I think the thing I miss most are the cafes.

It’s crazy to think that just a little over a week ago I was sitting at this cafe (how CUTE!) sipping on espresso and just taking in all that Paris had to offer. Fast forward to today. I’m sitting in sweats on Brandon’s couch with a to-go coffee that just doesn’t compare. And I mean, there is literally zero people watching unless you count Netflix. As much as I loved the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the shopping, the wine and bread, etc. I honestly miss the cafes the most. Just the entire vibe was everything I imagined it would be.

I loved being able to sit at a cute little table on the side walk, which by the way were packed to the brim. I loved eating fresh croissants. I loved drinking lots of espresso and fresh orange juice. I loved how slow and relaxed the service was. And I loved getting to watch all of the stylish people walk by. It was literally the exact experience I thought it would be.

The temps in Paris were a little tricky which is apparently noting new. I picked up with eyelet lace dress from Old Navy right before the trip and couldn’t wait to wear it with this fun red bandana scarf (I mean, SO Parisian right?). But of course, the temps dropped that morning and there was a little rain in the forecast so I threw on my trench coat – probably the best thing I packed for the trip. I mean, if you’re stuck on how to start living a Parisian inspired life I’d like to think this outfit is a good place to start.
