Give a Little Extra

Extra Gum  is a fun and easy way to thank those people who have gone out of their way to give a little extra to you. They gave extra, now you can give Extra – and that’s what I want to do in today’s post. This week marks a pretty special time for one of the most important people in my life so it’s only fitting that I had the opportunity to share a little “extra” with him.

As you may (or may not) know by now, George and I have been together for over ten years. Yes you have your math right. Since high school. Sure, we may have had some crazy, dramatic breaks but at the end of the day, he has always been a part of my life. From first kisses at the Homecoming Dance to battling each other on how to arrange the living room furniture, this journey of ours has been a great one. With his 26th birthday coming up this weekend (mentioned earlier here), I couldn’t be more excited to add a little extra to his gift.

As a pre-celebration to this Saturday’s big event — we’re going to Florida! — I decided to leave G a little present to kickstart his morning. He might not be the sappiest guy around  but I knew he would appreciate the little love notes I left out before he went to work. And I’m not going to lie, he was also a huge fan of the peppermint gum (a favorite for both of us).
