Dining Room Reveal

Kicking off this week with the first room we finished in the new house: the dining room.

I love this room almost as much as I love my office – mainly because I spend about 50% of my days working form this table. I love the natural light and being on the main floor when I’m looking to switch it up from my desk upstairs.

My vision for our dining room was simple: modern + minimal. I didn’t want a super stuffy or formal vibe like most dining rooms. It’s just the two of us and we wanted a space that could be casual or dressed up depending on the occasion. Eventually, we’ll do a larger table that can fit 6-8 but for now I sorta love the simplicity of our white round table.

As for the decor, I wanted to make sure the space still felt masculine enough to please Brandon without getting a stuffy vibe. To accomplish this, I opted for black finishes clean lines. This lighting fixture was the very first thing I bought for the house and I have been obsessed with it all along. I also love this credenza and it gives me all the Mad Men vibes.

The room wouldn’t be complete without a his and hers drink station. For me, a rose corner and for Brandon, whiskey all the way.

The space is perfect for a casual dinner at home (i.e. whenever I order takeout) and I can’t wait to have friends over to really break the room in!
