I’m not going to lie, I was never a huge fan of the bell sleeve trend. I’ve always thought it was just a little too retro hippie for my taste. However, I’ve been warming around to it a little more over the past few months and recently decided to take the plunge. I know, so dramatic. Anyways, I decided to head in-store to find the perfect one to add to my wardrobe. Fun fact: I hate shopping in stores. I’m such an online shopper so this was a big step. The reason I wanted to try it on versus racking up a major cart was because I wasn’t quite sure how this would fit. I’ve seen some bell sleeve tops totally overpower different body shapes (especially with a smaller upper half) so it was imperative that I tried it on firsthand.
I kid you not. The first top I tried on at H&M was absolutely perfect (hint: it was this one). I loved the almost sheer material and the creamy winter white color. The bell sleeve detail is slightly subdued so it’s not too much and the higher neckline is super trendy. I paired my newest blouse with boyfriend jeans and beige sandals for an easy, everyday look that’s perfect for a dinner date with the girls. I can’t wait to dress it up with leather leggings and suede boots and have plans for rockin’ it in the warmer months with denim cutoffs.
