My dream wedding dress, brought to life and better than I ever could have imagined.
Let’s be real – I’m not a super glam, frilly person. I love a minimal + modern vibe and was initially worried I wouldn’t get that “feeling” when I started looking for my wedding dress. That all changed when I walked into the Anne Barge atelier.
I had a vision of what I wanted my dress to be before I even tried one on. Modern, minimal, and sexy. I wanted something that felt like me – and I also wanted something that wouldn’t read too trendy). I had a ton of inspiration photos saved and almost all of them featured a satin ballgown style dress with a super-high slit up the front. I fell in love with the Emory dress from Anne Barge but knew I still wanted the slit detail so I worked with them over the past year to bring that vision to life. And boy did we.
The team at the atelier was amazing. They didn’t just cut a slit up the front of the dress. We went through several meetings and iterations of the dress before we landed on “the” one – they were incredibly patient throughout the entire process. We ended up taking the slit up a few more inches from the initial cut and even made a few adjustments to the skirt the week of the wedding.
I am truly obsessed with the way it turned out. It’s classic and elegant and beautiful and so ME. Topped off with the most stunning veil (‘Vow’), I truly wish I could just wear this look every single day and get away with it. Perfection.
