We All Need a Dessert Cart…

Y’all already know by now the kitchen is currently the only room in our house that has it together. I don’t know what it is but it is SO much easier for me to decorate a kitchen than any other space. It’s not like I love to cook or anything but I do love to entertain – maybe that’s it? Or maybe there just isn’t as much coordinating that needs to happen? Either way, our kitchen is starting to really come together and even more so after adding a dessert corner. Yes, you read that correctly. A dessert corner.

We’re so excited to be in a townhouse. Coming from a loft and a tiny apartment, we both can really appreciate that we have more space now. However, while we have three levels, the spacing and layout can still get a little tricky. I love the size of our dining room and living room but the kitchen area is a little smaller. When I found out Pottery Barn had an entire collection dedicated to smaller spaces, I couldn’t wait to start shopping. The Pottery Barn Apartment collection has everything you need to make a small space everything you want it to be. From living room and bedroom sets to dual functioning desks and dining tables, they have it all.

SHOP  MY DESSERT CART

For us, I knew I wanted to create little sections throughout the main floor that could serve multiple purposes. When I found this amazing rattan cart, I knew it would be perfect for housing decor on regular days and then could be changed over to a rolling dessert station when we entertain. We could also switch it over to a cigar/whiskey cart or even a breakfast situation. The opportunities are endless.

The fact that I can roll this cart into any room and create new experiences was a true win-win. When you’re dealing with smaller spaces or rooms, having items than can transition and transform is key.

I can’t wait to tackle my office next. It’s a smaller guest room tham I’m transforming into an office/closet so although I don’t have a ton of space to work with, I’m totally crushing on some of the office solutions at Pottery Barn right now. If you have any tips to making the most out of a small space, definitely let me know!
