The Perfect Gift for Mom!

This post has been sponsored by Philips Sonicare™ and I have received free product to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I know we literally just hit Thanksgiving but I am in full-on holiday mode. My tree went up on November 5th and B and I already took a few holiday photos, complete with mistletoe and stockings. I can’t help it – I love the holidays. The traditions, the time with family, the memories…what’s not to love? As much as I still love making my little “wish list” each year (god bless my parents who put up with my bratty 28-year-old self), my favorite thing about the holidays is without a doubt giving the perfect treats to others. While I almost always ace gifts for my dad, Brandon, friends, etc. I always spend the most time finding the perfect present for my mom.

Let me give you a little background on this wonder woman. My mom, like most moms out there, is caregiver of the year. She works about a zillion hours each week as a tech specialist and manager of her elementary school’s after school program. She manages a house and the 65 year old man-child I call my dad (he’s all about the fun and loves his candy + chips combo for dinner). She takes care of a puppy she didn’t even want (my dad brought home the cutest little rascal named Ricky and of course she fell in love). She stays up late catching up on school work. She sends me the sweetest texts to just “check in” and is constantly sending me house listings…even though I’m not on the market for one. I mean, geez, the list goes on. She’s a rockstar and when it comes to finding the perfect gift, I don’t even know where to begin.

Well this year, I think I might have stumbled across the perfect idea and it all started with my introduction to the Philips Sonicare 2 Series Plaque Control Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush. Now I know what you’re thinking – you’re getting your mom a toothbrush for Christmas??? The answer is Y-E-S…but it’s so much more. The Philips Sonicare 2 Series isn’t just a toothbrush. For me, it’s a symbol of self-care. My mom, like most mommas, tends to put herself last and I wanted to do something that would remind her that putting herself first is O-K. Going with the theme of self-care, I decided to put together a little gift basket with all of the essentials for a relaxing night in. And yes, I already instructed my dad that he was to stay in his man cave and let her enjoy her DIY spa moment for a few hours.

So what’s in the basket?
    • Philips Sonicare 2 Series: I love that this is available in four different colors that are exclusive to Target stores: Pastel Pink, Blue, Steel and Aqua. The pastel pink is adorable and the steel (pictured above) is so chic + modern. There’s a color for everyone is the family and I kinda think I need to get my dad and I one so we can all match!
    • Oversized mug: my mom loves her tea and hot chocolate. She can devour as much as she likes without getting up for a refill.
    • Bath Bombs + a Loofah: I am so envious of the bathtub in my parents’ room. All she needs is the perfect candle and a little jazz music for an epic bubble bath situation.
    • Manicure Kit: ever since I can remember, my mom has always done her mani at home. Now, she still goes into the salon every now and then but she all about that at-home manicure. I couldn’t resist getting her this adorable rose gold kit for her collection.
    • Inspiration Quote-cards: one of my favorite things at target is the “dollar” section. I found the perfect set of quote cards that my mom can peruse when she’s feeling stressed or lacking inspiration. Side note: I may or may not have stolen a few for my own desk.
