You guys – I think it’s finally starting to feel like fall. If you’re following along on Instagram (which, I HOPE you are!), you saw that I road-tripped it up to North Carolina last week with my girl Jessica. We started off in Asheville for a few days and then spent the weekend in Greensboro. It’s amazing how just gong a few hours down 85 can bring on cooler temps, more foliage and all the fall vibes. I loved it!
In the hopes of fall weather, I packed all the fall things. This sweater dress was one of my latest buys for the season and I couldn’t wait to rock it for a day of exploring Asheville. I’ve always been on the fence with the whole sweater dress trend. In the past, it seemed like something made for a little girl – not a 28 year old woman. I have no idea why I thought that way – but I did. Until now.
I am in LOVEEEEE with this beige sweater dress I scooped up from ASOS. Not only does it literally go with everything but I love the flattering fit and lighter weight sweater material. For a casual yet still blogger-friendly-photoshoot-worthy look, I opted for black OTK boots and coordinating accessories. I love a good black + beige combo, obviously.
We had so much fun walking around downtown Asheville (more on what we did later this week) and this look was just so perfect for the chillier temps. I threw on a leather jacket later that evening and even have plans on throwing on this sweater dress with my Adidas for a more casual vibe later this week in ATL.
So yes – I’m now a sweater dress convert and I may or may not be stocking up on a few others for the rest of the season. Are you guys a fan? How do you style them for a more modern vibe? Sound off below!
