Napa Travel Guide: Stay

I’m not going to lie, today’s post is sort of bittersweet for me. I’ve loved sharing some of my favorite moments & recs fromNapa with you guys but let’s be real, it is making me 100% want to hop on a plane and go back!

Today’s post is all about where to lay that pretty head of yours while in Napa. We actually stayed in a different hotel or resort each night. If you remember, we had a pretty robust itinerary and traveled throughout the valley, exploring a new town each day. Check out some of the highlights and in case ya missed them, you can check out my sip + play posts, too!

Calistoga Spa Hot Springs

Calistoga was our first stop and we immediately fell in love with the charming little town as soon as we touched down. The Calistoga Spa Hot Springs is located at the foot of Mount St. Helena in downtown Calistoga and we were so excited to be able to stay here our first night. The hotel was within minutes of some of the most beautiful Napa wineries, boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries in Calistoga. We were able to walk around and explore and then head back to our room to relax.

To kick off our first day, we were treated to the ultimate Hot Springs spa experience in the hotel’s bath house. First up, we enjoyed complete with mud bath, mineral mud baths with volcanic ash mud that’s harvested locally. So. Cool. After the mud bath, you get to relax and unwind in natural mineral and steam baths before heading in for an hour massage. It was exactly what we needed after a 5hr flight from Atlanta to San Fran. Outside of the spa, the hotel has multiple hot springs pools that you can enjoy and the setting was just so perfect. What’s better than lounging poolside with your man taking in the most beautiful view ofMount St. Helena.

After the ultimate spa experience, we changed for dinner and took a stroll around Calistoga, picking up dinner at D’amici (only a 5 minute walk from the hotel) and then turned in early to catch up on sleep in the coziest room. Talk about the perfect first day, y’all.

Silverado Resort & Spa

Because both my dad and B’s dad are avid golfers, Silverado Resort was one of the hotels we were super excited to check out. The luxury resort is home to two PGA courses, a beautiful terrace & cigar bar and a ton of fun golf carts (and honestly so much more). As soon as we checked in, we dropped off our bags and decided to have a chill night at the resort. We locked in on the patio overlooking the golf course, ordered a few yummy cocktails and just relaxed. It was magical. We walked around the golf course, took a dip in the hot tub and then ordered a flatbread pizza before falling asleep around 9pm. Again, super magical.

Not only did the resort have the best customer service (loved the golf cart rides from our room to the main house) but the property was just breathtaking. I can’t wait to bring our parents back to Napa – we will definitely have to make another visit to the Silverado.

Meritage Resort and Spa

For our last night in Napa, we checked in to the Meritage Resort & Spa. You guys, this place was absolutely beautiful. Complete with acres of sun-soaked vineyards, a serene Estate Cave & Spa, lush accommodations and an onsite bowling alley (!!!), we fell in love with The Meritage as soon as we arrived. We checked in after a long day of tastings so B made a beeline for our room to take a nap (the beds were UHmazingly comfy). I wanted to check out the pool natch so I grabbed a wine spritzer from the bar and plopped down in a cabana to relax for a few hours before dinner. The views at the hotel were gorgeous and I loved that it wasn’t super crowded.

We spent our last day in Napa hanging around the hotel and exploring the resort’s grounds. We had a delicious brunch at the hotel’s restaurant (OMG the beignets!!!!), walked the vineyards, took a ton of pictures (B has found his calling y’all) and spent a few hours at the pool. We had one more wine tasting that day at Humanitas and it was literally right up the road (we could have walked). The hotel was also extremely helpful when it came to shipping back all of our wine. I really wish we could have stayed here a few more days – guess we have to go back soon!
