NOLA Baby!

If you’re following along on Instagram and Snapchat (lauren_ely), you saw that B and I extended my work trip in New Orleans for a long weekend to kickstart his birthday festivities. I swear I fall in love with this city more and more every time I visit. I haven’t been to NOLA since I worked at Weber and was so excited to be back with #FashionablyBae to explore and experience all the city had to offer. 

We only had two days + two nights but we crammed in as much as we could. On our first day, we started with a late breakfast at the infamous Mother’s, walked for what felt like miles around the French Quarter and Bourbon street to take in all of the day drinkers, celebrated an early birthday with custom cocktails and cake thanks to our hotel’s amazing bar (LOA) and then enjoyed dinner and live music on Frenchman street (the night art market was amazing). On Sunday, we started out with beignets and frozen cafe au lait at Cafe du Monde, explored the biggest outdoor market I’ve ever seen in my life (the best frozen peach daiquiris and lots of awesome jewelry…swoon), did some more walking, had late afternoon cocktail overlooking Jackson Square and then ended the night with a delicious dinner at NOLA (probably the best fried chicken I’ve ever had). And each night we snuggled into the comfiest bed in the chicest room at the International House Hotel – PLEASE make sure you guys check out this gorgeous boutique hotel next time you’re in NOLA! 

It was definitely another great trip for the books and we’re already making plans to go back with friends sometime in the near future. Check out some of my favorite highlights below!
