As a blogger, I get to work on some pretty fun projects. And a lot of the time, that means photo shoots on top of photo shoots. I’ve grown to love it and get pretty excited to get in front of the camera. Brandon, however, is still getting used to it. One of my goals for 2019 was to capture more professional images of us together. Whether it was for the blog or simply for our own collection, I want to document our experiences, adventures, and special moments. I look back at my parents’ photo albums and gush over their photos from their late twenties. I want that.
I recently convinced Brandon to do a couples shoot with a local photographer (if you live in Atlanta, you have to work with Zach). While I had to do some slight bribing in the beginning, he caved and agreed to get all mushy in front of a camera with me. The day before we were scheduled to shoot, I walked Brandon through my photo shoot prep course. We picked out coordinating (but not matching) outfits, practiced some candid poses (oxymoron, I know), and did some pampering. I got a mani/pedi and Brandon touched up with his new Gillette ® SkinGuard.

Something you should know—Brandon has a thing for facial hair. He doesn’t grow much of it but when he does, he likes to hang on to it. I, however, love a clean shaven face. While I have absolutely no control over his style, sometimes he’ll give in to my requests for a smoother, kissable face, and I love him for it (and also totally make up for it later).

Another fun fact, he also has pretty sensitive skin. So when he tried the SkinGuard for the first time, I was surprised he didn’t have any complaints. SkinGuard is designed for men with sensitive skin and to stop irritation, so no more razor bumps…i.e. hello easy photo editing. Whether he’s touching up for a photo shoot or just finding his perfect shave in between growing out the facial hair and conceding to my wishes, I think he’s finally found a product he can keep in rotation.
