As you know, outside of blog-land I also work in PR at a youth non-profit. This usually calls for your typical 9-5 office attire, especially when business meetings are involved. If you follow along on snapchat (lauren_ely) then you probably saw that I was in LA earlier this week. I flew in for an in-person day long meeting (7+ hours ah!) and always struggle with what to pack or wear for something like that. I obvi want to look professional and chic and totally exude #girlboss but I also want to be comfortable. No one wants to sit in a room for over 7 hours in a tight dress or pantsuit combo, amiright.
This LBD from Maggy London was such a perfect choice. Not only is there the perfect amount of stretch but the exposed red zipper in the back of the dress creates the perfect mix of edge & sophistication. Paired with a simple heel and lightweight trench incase it gets chilly, this is a look I’ll definitely have in heavy rotation this season.
