If you were following along on Insta or snapchat this weekend, you probably got a glimpse into what was probably one of my favorite weekends of the summer so far! Friday night was a bit of a wild card (yes, that was a snap from 4:45 AM(!!!) but I also got to wind down and experience one of my fave hotels in the city with Jessica from My Style Vita. The Loews Atlanta opened their doors and hosted us for a mini staycation this weekend and it was amazing!
To kick off the stay, we were greeted with the yummiest goodies in our rooms (or shall I say suites!) before heading to dinner at Saltwood. The restaurant recently opened a few months ago and while I have always been a frequenter of their salda bar, this was my first time dining in for dinner. It. Was. Amazing. Not only did we get the full experience with a delish tasting menu, wine pairings and the best charcuterie plate I’ve ever had, but the service was fantastic and you can really tell just how much time, energy and passion they put into the details. And I’m not going to lie, I am an extremely picky eater – Jessica will probably never go to dinner with me again – but I tried everything (including raw tuna eek!) and was totally impressed with myself and the fact that I actually liked pretty much everything. Oh, and did I mention there were mini moonshine icecream floats! We topped off the night with coffee at one of my favorites Cafe Intermezzo which is connected to the hotel. I had the coffee granita and Pork basically stole the show.
The next morning, we started the day with the perfect breakfast spread at Saltwood – seriously y’all, the food is noteworthy/amazing/delicious so darn good. After eating (again), we made the 2 block journey to Piedmont Park to walk around and explore. The weather was so perfect we couldn’t resist a little trip and photo shoot. The last thing on our agenda was a visit to the Exhale Spa. I’ve been a member at their gym for a few months but never had the chance to try out their spa services before. Let me tell you, I’m sold and getting ready to make monthly massage appointments. This was actually my first massage – I always opt for facials – and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly, my masseuse was fantastic and the spa itself is a dream. So relaxing and exactly what both Jess & I needed to wrap up the stay.
If you live in Atlanta, definitely consider booking a mini staycation for yourself, your boo, your girls, etc. and if you don’t live in the A, not to worry! The Loews has locations all around the US and make for the perfect home away from home or fun destination for your next vacay.
Thanks again for having us, #LoewsAtlanta!!!
