Fall is slowly rolling in and all I can think about is amping up my wardrobe for the cooler months. I mean I literally purged my entire closet last week to make room for new goodies. In addition to the simple staples like these dark skinnies or a sleek white button-down, classic staples and patterns are a must have as we transition into the season which is why I just had to add this leopard trench to my closet. Not only did Jenna Lyons herself claim that leopard is a neutral (will never get old in my book) but a trench coat, especially in a chic print, is the perfect fall staple. Throw it over jeans and a tee for a casual day of weekend shopping or top off your black turtleneck and pencil skirt for a little desk to drinks situation. Next on my list, maybe something in plaid, hounds tooth, or herringbone (!!!)
For a low-key date night, I decided to take some inspo from my girl Cindy Crawford and went with a crisp button down, dark skinnies and black sandals. Because I knew the evening would cool down a bit and I am always freezing in the theater, I could not wait to throw on my new leopard trench. I am not kidding when I say this bad boy will be making a debut at least once a week in my life…so stay tuned!
