Welcome to Lauren Elyce!

Today is a pretty exciting day here on the blog. Why? Because it marks the first of many exciting changes and updates that have been a long time coming.

Before I get into details on the name change (you might have seen this on IG over the weekend), I want to give a little background on where this is all coming from:

To start, I launched Fashionably Lo in December 2012 as a creative outlet for all things affordable fashion. At the time, the name meant just that. Fashion advice, style tips, outfits, etc. all with a focus on budget friendly price points. Lo – a play on words for affordable – is also my nickname with family and close friends. When I first launched, the name just made sense and it was literally the first name I thought of.

Over the past four years, the blog has evolved. After moving to Atlanta and embarking on my more “adult” life, my interests started to vary and that began to become more apparent on the blog. In addition to affordable fashion, I started covering beauty, recipes, décor, fitness and more recently, travel. While I still focus on the more affordable price points, I started to notice a shift in the approach I was taking with content in general. It wasn’t just fashion. It was so much more.

Fast forward to the past few weeks and the craziness that has been swirling around in my head. I’ve been feeling to stuck lately with my brand and my content and it doesn’t help that Instagram’s new algorithm is totally messing with engagement. So I decided to take a step back and reevaluate my blog. One of the first things I knew I wanted to change was the name. As much as I love Fashionably Lo and what I meant when I first started, I just didn’t think it was relevant to where I am at this point in my life anymore. My focus has shifted to an all-encompassing personal style + lifestyle blog so what better way to brand that than with ME.

Over the next few weeks and months I’ll be rolling out exciting new features and content and can’t wait to share a brand new look & feel to LaurenElyce.com towards the end of July (so. excited.). In the meantime, LaurenElyce.com (eek!!) is the new home for all of your favorite Fashionably Lo content but with soooooo much more. I want this to be a platform and inspirational resource for everything from fashion to home to travel and everything in between.

So keep on reading, leaving feedback, and checking back for a new and improved site experience tailored just for you. And if there is anything you want to see that I’m currently not covering, please leave a comment below or a shoot me a note.
