Yesterday I shared a few ways to create the perfect unexpected holiday look and today, we’re all about the black lace dress. I.e., the most expected route you could take this season. But in a good way!
The LBD is obviously not a new thing. If you don’t have at least three good black dresses in your closet, I encourage you to run to the mall and pick up a few good LBDs immediately. I am currently the victim of having a few too many little black dresses and have been trying my hardest to slim down the collection. Lately, and maybe it’s the festive holiday spirit, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect lace black dress to add to my wardrobe and I finally found the perfect one.
This lace LBD from ASOS (which is unfortunately sold out) has all of the things I look for in the perfect stunner. I’m obsessed with the mock neck detail, the lace overlay and the tulle skirt. It’s romantic and modern and timeless all at the same time. Not to mention, all you need is a red lip and the perfect bow heel to make it holiday-party ready.
When looking for the perfect lace black dress, I’m all about focusing first on what is most flattering and event appropriate. A lace mini might not work for an office party. And a dress like the one in today’s post is a little too much for a more casual holiday party with friends.
