I’m honestly not 100% happy with what has been going on with the weather lately. While I love snow and winter layers, I don’t love this whole snowmagedon one day/warm 60s the next day. Like, how do you want us to dress?!?! The biggest issue, trying to get my hair and skin to behave while changing up my routine for whatever that day decided to throw my way.
I probably shouldn’t be complaining. Atlanta only got like half an inch of snow and some ice this past weekend – which was actually pretty awesome because I had some time to play spa day/to-do list catch up at home! I’m not usually one to set resolutions at the start of the new year, but I do love to set goals each month.
One of my biggest goals for January was to take moments outside of work and lists and just take care of myself. This includes heading to the gym a little more often, pampering myself whenever I have a free moment and upping my skin/hair care routines. The latter being extremely important with this dry, cold, insane weather.
Check out some of my most recent finds that are helping me shake up my skin and hair care routines this January!
- Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioners: y’all, these conditioners are heaven for your hair. Not only do they keep flat or fine hair full of volume and life but you’re also getting all the nourishment. There are a total of four formulas to choose from, depending on the solution you need! I love the repair & protect (obviously, that’s what you need when you become a blondie), the moisture renewal for this dry Atlanta winter and the sheer volume deep conditioner to add a little extra oomph to my locks for a night out when the ice melts. Literally use this stuff every day!
- Covergirl Tru Blend Primer: talk about a life saver in a tube. This primer is bananas y’all. You can get the primer that suits your skin best – oily, dry or combo. I’ve been using the dry skin formula for a few weeks and love how lightweight it is. It covers your pores, preps your skin for your daily makeup routine and keeps your face lookin fresh even in the icy temps.
- Herbal Essences Smooth & Soft Shampoo: I love switching up the products I use to wash my hair. My mom always told me my hair would get used to the same type of products – no clue if that’s true or not – but I’ve been swapping my shampoo and conditioner for years. After trying this Herbal Essences Smooth & Soft set, I might not be changing it up for a while. My curls have been feeling pretty dry and unruly lately with the ups and downs in temps but this new shampoo keep my curls touchably soft.
I am always dying to try new primers and that cover girl primer looks great!
