Sprucing Up Your Stripes

It should really be no surprise that I love a good mixing of prints. To be honest – I’m just surprised that it hasn’t completely gone out of style yet. When it comes to mixing patterns, I tend to always incorporate stripes Like always. I don’t know what it is but stripes are just such a perfect base when it comes to adding in other textures. They’re pretty neutral and the black + white combo I usually lean towards almost always goes with anything. Especially gingham.

This duo is one I do not shy away from. I wore this pairing in Charleston for a day of exploring and it was the perfect combo for a hot summer day. This gingham mini skirt is pretty darn adorable – how can you resist the added touch of florals? I also obviously fell in love with the ruffled hem and shorter cute. So stinkin’ cute for summer. And with a black and white striped tee? Count me in!

The key to mixing any prints, especially stripes, is to stick to a pattern in the same color palette. You can’t really go wrong with black and white. I’m also a firm believer that neutral accessories can go a long way. You gotta let the stripes and the gingham do their job #amiright?!
