It’s real y’all – I am officially in holiday mode. I’m super pumped to be rolling out my 2016 Holiday Guide later this week. I’ve already got my Spotify playlist set to Christmas tunes. And I may or may not already have a few gifts in my shopping cart. I just can’t help it. One of my favorite things about the holidays has to be all of the yummy treats – I mean does it get any better than all things peppermint, chocolate, cinnamon and eggnog? I think not.

One of my favorite desserts to whip up for the holidays is an easy frozen peppermint hot chocolate. Not only does it taste like Christmas in a cup but it’s super easy, only has 4 ingredients and is the perfect dessert to have at home for a good Netflix and Chill sesh.

To keep things as simple as possible, I used a few packets Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate and Reddi-wip to create the ultimate frozen peppermint hot chocolate. I love using already made products to create recipes even faster so I have more time to spend time with family, wrap #allthegifts and catch a few of my favorite Christmas movies without the stress of being in the kitchen all day.

Catch this super easy recipe below!

Ingredients (serves 2)

Two (2) packets of Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix

1/2 Cup of Nonfat Milk (you can use water or almond milk, too)

Crushed peppermint sticks (I used about 3 small candy sticks)

Handful of ice

  1. Pour milk into the base of your blender
  2. Add two packets of the Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix
  3. Add in the crushed peppermint candies (make sure you don’t have any big pieces)
  4. Top it off with a few ice cubes (I like to start with 3-4 and then add in as I blend)
  5. Blend it up!
  6. Top it off with a dollop of Reddi-wip, a few extra crushed peppermint pieces, a marshmallow and a peppermint stick.
  7. Enjoy!

While it’s not in the base of the recipe, the true hero to this frozen peppermint hot chocolate is the Reddi-wip. It’s made from real cream…um hello! And let’s be real, it’s the perfect topping to any holiday dessert. The best part – you will receive a FREE Reddi-wip® (6.5 oz) when you buy one Marie Callender’s Fruit or Cream Pie (11/16-11/24; discount automatically applied at register with qualifying purchase.
