This outfit was full of surprises and excitement. As I was sorting through my closet this weekend, pulling out some of my fave spring/summer pieces, I came across this Dorothy Perkins burgundy tee. I ordered the top a few months ago when I came across it on Pinterest. I was obsessed with the leather pocket and had so many outfits planned in my head. Well, somehow I lost this beauty when transitioning for the colder weather and completely forgot about it. Fast forward to a few days ago when I was pleasantly surprised to find a new-with-tags shirt in my closet! It was like Christmas morning and my birthday all rolled into one magic moment – I literally gasped #nojudgement. To top it all off, this skirt! I raided my mom’s closet a few months ago when I went home for a visit and came across this beautiful black and white hounds-tooth skirt from WHB. I immediately fell in love and decided to take it home with me, without her consent of course. Not only is the graphic print on trend right now, but the classic black and white paired with the figure flattering silhouette makes this skirt the perfect work-wear staple.
The best part of this outfit are the details – a fun leather pocket, strappy heels with buckles and a classically chic graphic print. Everything works together to create a look that is work appropriate and true to my personal style & I couldn’t be any more happier with a hand me down skirt and almost-new shirt!
