There are pieces in your closet that will just never expire. A classic trench (like this one I’ve had for one million years), a comfy pair of jeans and neutral accessories are the best way to go in my eyes. The best part? You can get so much wear out of them while also putting together a chic, modern look in 3 seconds or less. 

To kickstart my morning at a social media workshop yesterday at General Assembly (more on snapchat! @lauren_ely), I opted for something simple that could also be worn all day. I was heading straight to work after sitting in a three hour class and then off to my parents’ for dinner. I needed to be comfortable, cute and cozy to fight the rain.
