Books I’m Reading

Okay. No judgments guys but I started last year – as in 2020 – with a pretty epic reading goal. Spoiler: I didn’t stick to it. But that’s OK. Sometimes our goals are a bit lofty for what we can do at that time. The good news? I picked it back up a few weeks ago and after getting through some really good reads, I’m officially on a roll.

From wellness books to fiction and everything in between, here’s my current reading list and what I’ve been loving so far!

The Grace Year by Kim Liggett

I started this book like five times last year and just kept getting distracted. I finally made my way through it and it is SO good. I love fiction and this book gives me major Handmaids Tale/Hunger Games/Divergent vibes – it’s a good one.

Stories that Stick by Kindra Hall

As a content creator and storyteller, I’m always trying to get better so I can provide content that you guys find helpful and relevant. I’ve paged through this book a little and have really liked what I’ve read so far!

Intuitive Fasting by Dr. Will Cole

This is next on my list but a lot of people have recommended it to me! I don’t believe in quick fixes or trendy diets – and to be honest, I’ve gone back and forth with my own versions of intermittent fasting for a little over a year. I’m excited to learn more and make an informed decision for myself.

Body Love by Kelly LeVeque

I ready this book several years ago and loved it. I picked it back up a few weeks ago and was reminder just how much I love Kelly and her Body Love program and mindset. This is NOT a diet book but instead offers guidance on living a full, healthy life with a focus on eating to fuel your body and loving that body the entire way. Also – her Fab 4 Smoothies are a staple in my house. I have one every day for breakfast.

Beyond the Pill by Dr. Jolene Brighten

I’ve talked about this book a lot and for good reason. I’m now on my third read because it’s that good. Whether you’re off the pill, thinking about coming off the pill or just wanting to learn more about your hormones and a woman’s body in general, this is a MUST MUST read.

Come as You Are by Emily Nagoski

With a focus on sexuality and transforming your sex life, I highly recommend this book for all of my empowered women out there. And I’ll leave it at that.
