Barefoot in Tulum

This time last week, we were frolicking on the beach and basking in the sun. Today, I’m sitting on my couch in sweats applying all the aloe I can round up because my skin has decided to shed a goof ten layers #SummerGlow. Seriously though, I can’t state enough how in love with Tulum I was/am. I can’t wait to go back for a blogger trip one day (talking to you Jessica!). We rented the coolest house on the beach just outside of the downtown area and our front yard was filled with greenery and palm trees. So breathtaking. I spent every morning sitting out on our patio with a cup of coffee and fresh fruit and bouncing back and forth between the beach. Take. Me. Back.

Although I didn’t wear 99.9% of the outfits I packed for this trip, the one thing I did wear outside of my swimsuit or shorts was this super adorable and super affordable matching set from Boohoo. It took me a while to get on the co-ord bandwagon but when I did, I fell hard. There are so many things to love about a good matching set. Ease is probably number one. Literally all you have to do is put it on and you have a complete look. It doesn’t get much simpler. I also love how comfy they can be.

This crop top + maxi skirt combo was so lightweight and stretchy and perfect for an early dinner in Tulum. We enjoyed a traditional Mexican dinner at the house on our first night so the dress code was definitely casual. Why can’t every dinner party call for a barefoot/no makeup dress code? After dinner, we sipped fresh homemade margaritas on the beach and then hopped into the hot tub and played Heads Up. It was probably the best night of the trip.
