As a grown adult, I have never been a fan of wearing pink and red for Valentine’s Day. Now, the colors together on any other day of the year totally work. But I’m not a 5yr old – I don’t think any woman over like 13 should be wearing this combo on cupid’s holiday. And if you happen to be a woman in this category – please don’t take this personally. I’m sure you’re going to totally crush it tonight! It just doesn’t work for me.
Instead of the obvious combo, I decided to draw a little inspiration from my upcoming trip to Paris. There is something so chic & feminine about a soft shade of pink like this blush/mauve duo. I decided to have a little fun with the look and pair this ruffled, see-through number with a lacey peek-a-boo bra and chiffon midi skirt. It’s flirty, girly and I like to think SJP herself would totally approve.
Now, I have no idea what we’re going to end up doing tonight. There’s a 99.9% chance we’re going to make a yummy dinner at home and watch Netflix (probably my favorite way to spend any night with #FashionablyBae). But, just in case we decide to head out for the night, I’ve got this look on standby!
BLUSH RUFFLE TOP: FOREVER 21 | BLUSH MIDI SKIRT: FOREVER 21 | LACE BRA: NORDSTROM | HEELS: NORDSTROM | BAG: TARGET | SUNNIES: FOREVER 21
