We’ve lived in our loft now for almost a year and it still amazes me how challenging the whole space issue can be. Sure, we might have an open floorplan but it so hard to find a place for everything and still have that cozy feel. Until now we have been using plastic storage bins or hiding things in the most random places – I am starting to actually understand the whole shoes in the oven thing Carrie so graciously showed us years ago.
I’m really excited to team up with American Signature (and Value City, their sister brand) in showing off some of the amazing selections they have for all of your storage solutions. Not only are these pieces super stylish, but the quality is fantastic and they fall right in with the aesthetic of our space.
One of the things we were looking for when we decided to amp up our loft was modern yet still timeless pieces that were also truly functional. Like I said before, we were literally storing all of our serving ware on top of our refrigerator and covering them with picture frames. It was not cute…like at all.

Dining Cabinet
You know by now that we were storing all of our china and serving ware o our refrigerator. Other than the ever growing dust collection, storing our stuff on the fridge was just not convenient. I never wanted to climb up on the counter and pull them down or I forget I had something and went out to buy a duplicate – not smart. I love that we can now add to our dining area and pull serving dishes straight form the nook when we have company. It doesn’t hurt that this gorgeous chest has the gold detailing on the front. It fits right in with our slightly industrial feel.
Coffee Nook
If you follow me on Instagram, you know by now that I have quite a thing for good cup of coffee. In addition to be a frequent coffee shop girl, I also love to make signature lattes and try new things at home. The only downside? There was nowhere to store all of my k-cups, espresso pods and expanding collection of mugs. Having this Edward Accent Cabinet serve as the separator between our living room and dining area is just the perfect fit. Besides helping to create that definition in room space, I just love making and serving coffee for my guests in the new little nook we created. Even better, I can store all of my equipment (makers, Keurig, etc.) in the cabinet so I don’t look like an actual coffee house. Its safe to say this has definitely made my boyfriend happier.
Knick Knack Display
We all have them – candles, coffee table books, throw blankets. Basically the entire knick knack section of Home Goods. We started running out of space for all of the pretty little things and that was just not an option. Adding another bookshelf to our living room space was the perfect way to display the goodies and add even more storage possibilities.
