Affordable Home Decor Shopping

One of the most popular questions I’ve been getting lately is where to shop for affordable home decor. Because we were starting from scratch with the new house, we had a pretty limited budget. Furnishing an entire place isn’t cheap! I’m already a budget-friendly kind of gal so you better believe that didn’t change when it came to buying pieces for the house.

We’re getting closer and closer to the finish line and still have a few rooms left (I feel like the master will never get done) but we finally put the finishing touches on our little upstairs reading nook. Aside from the living room, this is one of my favorite places in the house. It’s just so simple and cute. Now, will anyone actually sit there and read a book? Probably not. But it’s charming and adorable and we needed a space filler. So there ya go.

We spent less than $300 decorating this space. The frames were cheap finds on Amazon. The chair + mirror came from At Home and were together less than $150 and the rest of the accessories were all super affordable. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to create well styled spaces – we’re proof of that!

So, without further ado, here are a few of my favorite places for home decor.

  • ALL MODERN – THIS IS MY GO TO FOR MODERN PIECES. MOST OF OUR FURNITURE IN OUR LIVING ROOM AND MY OFFICE ARE FROM ALL MODERN!
  • WAYFAIR – I LOVE GETTING TRENDIER BUT STILL SUPER AFFORDABLE PIECES FROM WAYFAIR. OUR COFFEE TABLE, DINING TABLE AND MOST OF OUR BEDROOM FURNITURE ALL CAME FROM WAYFAIR. MOST PIECES I GET FROM HERE ARE UNDER $300.
  • TARGET – TARGET IS MY NUMBER ONE STOP FOR DECOR. ALMOST ALL OF THE DECOR PIECES LIKE FUN ART, MIRRORS, VASES, FAUX PLANTS, ACCENT PIECES, ETC ALL CAME FROM TARGET AND WERE UNDER $50.
  • OVERSTOCK – I DIDN’T DO AS MUCH SHOPPING FOR THE HOUSE ON OVERSTOCK AS I DID ON SOME OF THE OTHER SITES ABOVE BUT I LOVE BROWSING FOR AFFORDABLE AND HIGH QUALITY FURNITURE AND DECOR HERE!
