If you follow Fashionably Lo on Insta, you probably saw that I am officially in apartment-makeover mode. I live in a loft (which I loveeee), but I have been pretty stuck in my decor. When I moved in a little over two years ago, the walls were painted orange, brown and green. Not cute. At all. With a little swaying from my ex, we decided to keep the bold colors and decorate with all neutral pieces, which worked at the time. However, around this time last year, I decided to go rogue and move on (quite literally) and go with a more neutral taupe color. Best decision ever.

Long story short, I’m not completely in love with my current vibe and have been shifting things around for the past few months in the hopes that a little rearranging would cure my sense of decoration boredom. The best way to give your place a little refresh? With a new coat of paint, obviously.

To kick-start my loft makeover, I’m so excited to be teaming up with Ace Hardware for their 31 Days of Color Campaign. In an effort to encourage a healthy spring refresh or bold color improvements, Ace Hardware is rolling out a color of the day each day for the month of March. Such a cool idea and a great way to discover new paint colors that you might not have paid much attention to before.

Take this bold blue for example! Prior to this weekend, my bathroom was orange. Not a chic rust color or a warm desert sunset orange. A cheeky, bright sun, crayon shade of orange. I didn’t like it (obviously). I’ve always loved the look of navies, blues and blacks, and I was excited to try out this new color from Valspar (Blue Jay Crest). I sorta love how it turned out. Not gonna lie: It went on real blue, but once it dried and we put on a second coat, I’m pretty happy with the final results. I opted to switch out my decor in storage to a more simple and streamlined vibe, and I love how modern and clean it looks.

For details on this color and a ton of other options, head over to Ace Hardware’s Paint Studio, where they’ll be uncovering the Color of the Day each day in March. You can also enter the 31 Days of Color sweepstakes for a chance to win a $10,000 paint makeover or daily gift cards. And make sure you stay tuned for another huge paint project I’m working on with Ace Hardwarethe color is SO good! (You might have caught a sneak peek on Snapchat this past weekend! @lauren_ely)
