As much as I love summers in Atlanta, I’m still waiting for the opportunity to venture out to a lovely country home for some true R&R. That’s a thing right? I’m picturing sweat tea on a wrap around porch, BBQ and salads, sunflowers and of course a little horseback riding. Who wants to plan this with me??
Part of any good summer getaway is packing the perfect outfits. I love that Ann Taylor is inspiring a summer full of adventure from beach vacations to city escapes. I’m sharing what I’m packing for a country inspired trip below along with a few other summer favorites from Ann Taylor.
No. 1 The Ruffle Top
When I think about the perfect country inspired summer look, I think ruffles. It doesn’t get much more southern belle than that #amiright? Loving the detail on this top!
No. 2 The A Line Skirt
A-line skirts are the perfect combination of feminine meets comfort and I don’t think anything would be more perfect for a country getaway. Love them with a blouse or make it a bit more modern with a knotted tee shirt and sneakers.
No. 3 The Strappy Sandal
Okay so you might not be stomping around the corn fields in these heels but a low heel strappy sandal is the perfect shoe for a summer getaway. Pair with a lightweight skirt or dress – you can also dress them down with jeans and a tank.
